DEVELOPMENT OF NEW DIELECTRIC MATERIALS FOR 2+3+4+5 G MOBILE PHONE ANTENNAS

IDI-20210198

Moyano-Telsa has started the development of new dielectric materials and solutions for the new generation of 2+3+4+5 G mobile phone antennas.

5G technology is the essential technological component in the digital transformation of society and the economy in the coming years. For the successful introduction of this new technology, not only is a whole ecosystem of 5G platforms, services and content necessary, but it must also take into account the evolution of telecommunications infrastructures and networks through the development of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The project has three objectives:

The technical objective is to research and determine the effect of different materials on wave transmission and to find appropriate solutions to the problem.
The commercial and strategic objective is to position MOYANO-TELSA as a supplier of solutions for the mimicry of 5G mobile telephony base stations.
Finally, the environmental objective, linked to the commercial one, given that one of the reasons why the stations are mimetised is to reduce the visual impact.
Moyano-Telsa will design the materials and shapes necessary to achieve the three objectives mentioned above.

It will then manufacture the radomes taking into account the findings of this project.

This project has received a grant through the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), and is co-financed by the EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND (ERDF), with the aim of promoting research, technological development and innovation.
