SAS Automotive Systems commissions SICE with a cockpit assembly line in Kentucky, USA

SAS Automotive System, company in the specialized automotive sector which specializes in SUV cockpit assembly and testing, has commissioned SICE for the project consisting of the design, manufacture, set-up and start-up of an assembly line for cockpits with 39 stations for their client, Faurecia Interior Systems. This assembly line is for Lincoln Navigator and Ford Escape cockpits.

SICE will manage the project, systems design, manufacture supervision based on validated designs, the construction of power and control boxes and the design of automation systems, as well as set-up and start-up at the client’s facilities.

The design of all components that make up the project has been validated. The project is currently in manufacturing process. The company will ship the materials to the USA in the Summer of 2018 and install so this manufacturing line is operational before the end of the year.

This contract strengthens the bond between SICE, SAS Automotive Systems and Faurecia Interior Systems, the latter, a leading business in the automotive sector world-wide.
